last week, this started happening... (its amazing to see how things just 'click' in her little brain. all that frustrating crawling backwards stuff, gone, just like that)

I thought my legs were pale...

The hardest thing about learning to crawl is learning to crawl forward...

Colon capital D

So yesterday I think the best way to describe Josie would be 'crank-tastic'. Horrible naps which led to fussy awake times. I am so glad I decided to call a rain day and stay home.
Today she was so fun - she took great naps and was so pleasant all day. We had a great time grocery shopping, walking the dog, crawling backwards, chewing on socks.

I was loading her up to go switch the car with Tom when she flashed me one of her big I-Love-Life grins. And that's when I saw it, the reason for yesterday - the tiny tip of a tooth peeking out from her bottom gum.

Sappy mom that I am, I almost cried.

:D

Sweet Face...

I think this is the morning I fed her greenbeans for breakfast. yum.

She is SO close to crawling!

Her motivation to not give up is things like this:

She scooted over there (it took FOREVER).

I stood her up against the ottoman, she felt like such a big girl. She played there for several minutes...

Other things Josie is up to:

  • Learning to sleep well.
  • Miss Independent stayed in the nursery at church this weekend - the whole time!
  • Mimicking some fun things like clicking her tongue when we do, a backwards wave, and banging on the table after us.

In other news, I scored a huge lot of clothing on craigslist yesterday. I was pretty proud of myself...

Happy New Year!

Happy 2010! This is a couple days late, I realize.

After all our holiday parties we concluded that:
1. Josie is a party animal.
2. Josie still sleeps great at night after parties.
3. Josie's nap schedule gets so messed up after parties that maybe its good we will be staying home for a while. :)

This picture is from Sunday, Dec. 26th while getting ready for church. It has been a while since I've dressed her completely asleep. Although she didn't wiggle at all, which was kinda nice, I did feel terrible and we have been sticking to a pretty strict schedule recently.
